I'm trying to read more this year as I massively failed my reading challenge last year. I'm going to beast it this year. The title and the cover of this book intrigued me.

I didn't really enjoy this book. I nearly gave up but I wanted to know what happened and why etc but it was hard work.

The storyline was okay. It starts with a pretty grim murder but then you don't really hear about that again until near the end which was a bit confusing. Mr Marseille and Anabelle are odd characters and even weirder bad guys.

This book just seemed to drag in some places and I kinda lost the will to keep reading. Then towards the end they just kind of chuck all these links at you to explain the who and the why. I feel like some of these links could have come earlier on so that it made more sense. It just felt a bit fractured with the different parts of the story.

I loved the detectives Byrne and Balzano but I'm not sure I would want to give anymore of this series a read.

This primer is amazing at colour correcting. I always seem to have really red cheeks and this instantly tones it down. It's also great for helping with those pesky eye bags that I always seem to be rocking. I wear this on its own on more natural days just to balance out my red cheeks & bags and brighten my skin and it looks great.

It's also a lovely base for makeup. It feels so moisturising which is perfect for my weird dry skin and my foundation applies beautifully. The staying power is also pretty good and this is definitely my favourite base at the moment.

If you struggle with redness and bags then I would definitely recommend this. It also helps you look more awake. I mean if you can't get enough sleep then this is the next best step...right?

The only downside to this primer is the £24 price tag. Although not as high as some, my budget doesn't always allow me to spend that on makeup so hoping it'll last a while

Everyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with coffee. Seriously. Coffee is life and I am one moody bitch if I don't get my morning cuppa. So when I moved to my new house I knew I absoulutely had to have a coffee machine because faffing about with a cafetiere is just effort. I was about to purchase one when my lovely Uncle & Aunty said they would get it for me as a house warming pressie. Life made.


This Logik Coffee Maker is hands down my favourite kitchen appliance. If you love coffee I would definitely recommend this and at £19.99 it is a bargain.

It's easy to use even with my brain fog and crappy hands. It's also super easy to clean and completley faff free. You add the amount of ground coffee you want with the provided scoop, add the water and press run. Ta-da delicious coffee and your house smells aaamazzzzing. I tend to use 2 scoops of coffee and then fill the water up to 4 cups. This then gives me 2 big mugs of coffee. Another plus is there is a warming plate so your coffee will stay hot for 30mins. Genius

Now my favourite part is you can schedule it to run at any time. This means I can wake up to freshly brewed coffee. Heaven. There is nothing better than waking up to the scent of freshly brewed coffee. It makes mornings that little bit less horrific. Plus it's super easy to do because even I managed to work it out (I did have to use the instructions the first time though).

I can't imagine life without my coffee machine now. Also my dad was so obsessed with mine that I ended up buying him one for his birthday.

Unfortunately I seem to be one of the very few who just can't get on with this foundation. The only positive I have to say about this is that the shade matched my skin tone pretty damn well (I got Deauville).

Considering it was recommended for dry skin it made my skin look even worse. It cracked and separated on my cheeks and clung to any remotely dry patches on my forehead. Even when I ex-foliated and moisturised the shit out of my face it still found mystery dry patches and just didn't sit right. My skin also seems to suck this stuff up so I have to apply twice as much which isn't great when it's pretty pricey compared to my usual £10ish. The lasting power was also really poor.

I was so gutted that I didn't get to experience the love that everyone else has for this foundation *cries*. Probably just going to stick to the cheaper options so that I don't cry so much if I don't get on with it.

Also is there any need to charge extra for the pump? I mean really? When you're already charging £31 for a foundation it seems a tad greedy to charge extra for the pump.

I have mixed feelings about this product (which you can buy here.) The price is obviously a massive downside because £249.00 is a lot of money to spend on anything, unfortunately I don't have that kind of money spare. And lets be honest if I did I would probably spend it on something more exciting.

The LightStim is super easy to use. You just plug it in, turn it on and hold it on your chosen area. Fool proof. I would recommend an extension lead though because the cable isn't that long and my plug sockets are all in stupid places. I would love to know who designed my house because they suck. Also I move way too much and ended up pulling the cable out the end without an extension lead.


You can use it post-workout for soreness, accidents and sports injuries, backaches, arthritis, and to speed healing of cuts, abrasions and bruises. You can also get LightStim for wrinkles and LightStim for acne.

Overall I would say the LightStim does feel nice and did ease my aches and pains but it is out of a lot of peoples budgets. There were also a few reasons why it didn't really work for me. I would probably just stick to a hot water bottle (filled by an adult) but I am really glad I got to give it a go.
