Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner

18 February 2016

My Aunty goes to America quite a lot so I use her to get the makeup you can't get here without massive shipping/customs costs. Even better her trip coincided with Christmas this year. Merry Christmas to me. I was treated this year to some Kat Von D products that I have wanted to try forever. The Tattoo Liner and two liquid lipsticks (which I will do a separate post on)

I wanted to love this liquid eyeliner so much. I'm a huge fan of winged eyeliner and am looking for my bae in the liner world. I know they are out there somewhere. Unfortunately this one was not it. It broke my heart.

The packaging is simple but stunning and I'm definitely a fan of that. I usually find the felt pen style liners easier to work with but this one just didn't do it for me. I couldn't get a solid black line and had to keep going back over it and even then it wasn't black enough. It's quite hard to get a smooth line and it ends up patchy and I just don't understand why. Why you do dis to me?

I keep giving this eyeliner another chance hoping that this is the time I'll magically fall in love but every time I get more & more frustrated. I always end up going over my wings with my Rimmel exaggerate eyeliner to get the line black and opaque enough. It does last well and is also easy to remove so that's a plus for you. It also doesn't transfer to my upper lid which is one of the only things I dislike about the Collection felt liner.

I've seen so many people rave about this eyeliner but it just didn't work for me. I wanted to love this so much but I feel there are so many better alternatives for much cheaper than $19 which is about £14. I do have a post on two of my favourite drugstore eyeliners if you wanted to check that out.

What is your favourite liquid eyeliner?
Have you found your bae?
