Roses + Whiskey Jewellery

28 June 2018

If you read my May favourites you will have seen that I am in love with a new small business run by Jessica.

Roses + Whiskey is a gorgeous shop selling handmade crystal jewellery. Honestly everything is so beautiful. That would probably be why I seem to have amassed such a large collection. I can't seem to say no to all the beautiful crystals. Not only is there quite a large choice of crystals, you can also pick a chain length and colour to suit you. A black cord has also been recently introduced which looks great.

Simple Accessories with Tobi

26 September 2017

As mentioned in yesterdays post I was sent some accessories to style. Yesterdays outfit was nice and cosy and perfect for autumn. Todays outfit is clinging on to summer and pretending that I won't need tights all the time soon.

Transitioning into Autumn with Tobi

25 September 2017

Recently I was kindly sent a few accessories from tobi to style up some outfits. Safe to say I am feeling the autumnal vibes with this one. I mean I was definitely sweating as it happened to be super warm the day I decided to take these pictures but I'm definitely looking forward to wearing this outfit more in the colder months with a chunky scarf.

Chaffree Kinickerboxers

4 September 2017

All my fellow thick thighed people will understand the curse of chaffing or chub rub. Cute summer outfits end with beautifully raw painful thighs and make me not want to wear dresses. You would think being in a wheelchair would mean I didn't have to worry about this anymore and while it is slightly better I do still get it. You may not know this and you may not want to know this but sitting in a wheelchair in the heat all day results in incredibly sweaty ass and thighs and I cannot sit still so I still get the beloved chaffing. Y'know that feeling when you sit on a plastic chair in the sun well imagine sitting like that all day. It's not great.Chaffree Kinickerboxers review

Cold Shoulder Jumper

20 December 2016

So these photos have been sat in a file waiting to be edited for agess. I kinda lost my confidence with outfit photos after enjoying my first one so much. I've been having a massive wobble with my body confidence recently and I just don't feel good in anything so I just stick to my trusty hoodie and leggings because I might as well be comfy right? I want to lose a bit more weight but I also want to love my body because weight does not define beauty. Therefore after hating the majority of the photos my dad took for me I decided to pick some and get this post up anyway. My dad is such a weirdo that I always end up laughing all the way through the photos so there is no serious fashion blogger poses here. Just me laughing my head off and rocking that double chin.

Simply Be Fleece Snuggle Top

25 November 2016

Along with the Scarf neck sweater I did a post on the other day I was also kindly sent the  Pretty Secrets Fleece Snuggle Top*. As you may know I pretty much live in my pyjamas. Chronic illness means that getting dressed in outside clothes is not an every day thing. If I am in the house there is a 99.9% I am in pyjamas or at a push leggings. I am all about being comfy and cosy. The two most important things in life so I obviously had to check out Simply Be's Loungewear selection.

Simply Be Scarf Neck Sweater

21 November 2016

I've been meaning to do outfit posts for ages. It's been a mix of a lack of confidence, being awkward in front of the camera (unless it's a selfie, I'm boss at selfies) and not having anyone to take photos that has held me back. When I got a lovely email from Clare asking if I wanted to try some bits from Simply Be Jumper range I decided this was the push I needed to start outfit posts. I went to Cardiff for the day with my dad and dragged him to the park to get some photos. He absolutely loved his job as photographer and we are now planning some more locations for outfit shots.

Outfit Post Fail

5 July 2016

Yesterday we went out for dinner for my brothers 21st. I actually got dressed up and wore something other than pyjamas or leggings and it felt good although no where near as comfy as pjs. I put on one of the 2 dresses I actually own and actually wore heels. Not a trainer in sight. I got all excited and thought I could actually do an outfit post and get some photos in front of the sea in Aberaeron. The wind had other ideas. Every photo was just an epic fail and I could not stop laughing so I decided to share them with you anyway. I mean you can kind of see my outfit.

Yours Non Wired Lace Bras

4 July 2016

It is no secret that I hate wearing bras. I avoid wearing one at every opportunity. I'm not wearing one right now and my bra is usually the first thing I take off when I get in the house. I mean it doesn't even last that long most of the time. My family have got used to me taking it off in the car for the journey home and my mum even had to undo it for me whilst I was driving once.

I suffer really badly with rib pain and the bastard that is know as costochondritis. Seriously one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. The pain literally stops me in my tracks & makes breathing soo painful. Why does it have to be so essential to life. As you can imagine, a bra sitting on your ribs encourages the damn thing and exacerbates the pain hence why I avoid them.

However, when you have kinda big boobs and live in vest tops a bra is some times essential. Apparently flashing is frowned upon. Who knew? This meant I tended to live in my sports bra but they have really chunky bands and get quite hot. Then I found these gorgeous non wired lace bras in yours and it was love at first wear.

Karma Se7en Body Jewellery

20 April 2016

I'm a huge fan of piercings and I currently have 5 in my right ear, 3 in my left and 1 in my nose. I've been looking for some new studs for my tragus and helix for a while now because I'm terrified of losing the only ones I own. Karma Se7en kindly sent me some gorgeous pieces to put my mind at ease and I'm in love.

I really love the packaging of K7 products. I love that fact that each item comes in a plastic pot with a screw lid because now I have somewhere safe to put all my earrings when I have to take them out to play wheelchair basketball. Genius. Also great for taking jewellery on holiday if you are as indecisive as me.
How gorgeous is this Blue crystal triple helix stud*? It makes it look like I have even more piercings which is always a good thing. It has a ball to screw on the back and is so comfy to wear. Plus it looks awesome. I might have to get some of the other colours. You can check out all of the info and different style earrings you can get for your helix here

Rose gold nose ring* (1mm). I mean it had to be done really. I'm not normally a massive fan of rose gold and I don't really get the hype but I am so in love with this. I haven't taken it out since it landed on my doorstep and it looks gorgeous. It's going to look so good when I finally get a tan.

I desperately needed a spare tragus stud because I am always losing the ball off the end of mine. It somehow seems to fall off on its own & when I try and put it back on it always pings across the room. I'm surprised I haven't lost the whole bar yet.

This 9ct gold & CZ tragus stud* is so sparkly and gorgeous. My old one was just a boring plain silver bar and I need sparkle in my life. The clear bioflex stem of this one makes it super comfy and the back is then invisibleish. Its also perfect for those who are allergic to metals. There is also no ball to screw on which makes life easier. The stone has a gold stem on which slots into the plastic. I did however underestimate how difficult it would be to slot something into clear plastic. I had to whack out the magnified side of my mirror. I still prefer it to the balls though.

They have so much gorgeous jewellery for all types of piercings and they also have helpful information about the different piercings on their site. There's a price range for everyone and everything is so pretty. I want it all. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

I already have a list of more that I want to buy

Clogau Lust List

16 February 2016

For my 21st I was lucky enough to receive a Clogau charm bracelet from my family. Clogau has to be my favourite ever Jewellery. Its gorgeous, unique and welsh. Seriously their items are just stunning. I also have a gorgeous locket which I got for my 16th which started my love affair with this beautiful brand. The only downside is the price. My poor bank balance, but it is so worth it. I currently have 5 charms from family, friends and myself and I love every single one of them. I am permanently attached to my bracelet and feel lost without it.

The newest catalogue dropped through my door the other day. As I was browsing it with my morning cuppa I mentally spent about a billion pounds (slight exaggeration). Seriously I want it all. So I thought I'd do a lust list of all the gorgeous charms and rings I need in my life

Clogau Wishlist

Lovespoon Affinity Stacking Ring & Heart Affinity Stacking Ring - How gorgeous are these? I already have a welsh lovespoon necklace that my mum got me for my 18th that I wear everyday so this would go perfectly. I'm just obsessed with rings and constantly need more in my life.

Horseshoe Charm - I had horses when I was younger. I was that crazy horse girl in school and I loved it. Plus horse shoes are lucky

Man in the Moon Charm - I am also that girl that points out the moon and the stars every night. Seriously I could spend hours just looking at them (except it hurts my neck).

White Topaz Star Charm - Sparkle and stars. What more could you want from a charm?

Music Note Charm - I listen to music every day and I'd be lost without it

Horse Charm - Crazy horse girl again. I just love horses and wish I was well enough to own one again

Oyster & Pearl Charm - Obviously a mermaid needs an oyster charm. It even opens up to reveal a pearl inside. So magical

Queen Bee Charm - I love bees and am constantly going on about them & how we need to save them to my dad. Plus I'm also the queen bee obvs.

Mirror Charm - The perfect charm for a vain girl like me. Plus its so pretty

Damselfly Charm - This is just so pretty and blue is my favourite colour.

Paw Print Charm - I'm such an animal lover and would be lost without my dog (who is currently snoring away on my bed).

Do you love Clogau as much as me?
What charm would you choose?

Jewllerybox Jewellery

25 September 2015

If you have never heard of Jewellerybox where have you been? Also get yourself over to their site pronto. They have so many gorgeous items. They also just happen to be the loveliest company ever. I've been having a pretty rough few months with the last few weeks being the worst. I just happened to tweet saying I was going to treat myself to something from them to cheer me up and to see if anyone had any recommendations. The super lovely Gemma then sent me these two gorgeous pieces, I am so in love with, just to make me smile. They honestly made my week so much better and I cant thank them enough.

jewellerybox.co.uk

First of all, how cute is their packaging. The simple brown boxes are just too cute. Jewellerybox have something for everyone with a huge range of prices and gorgeous affordable gold and silver items. I  have to have good quality jewellery as cheaper costume jewellery irritates my skin but this usually means my purse suffers. Not any more. I can see myself buying a lot more from this site.

The first item I was sent was this absolutely stunning Sterling Silver Clear CZ Open Heart Necklace*. It is the most delicate and beautiful necklace I think I own. I'm a little bit scared of breaking it because super clumsy but I'm in love. Also how adorable are the lil pegs.

Jewellerybox Sterling Silver Clear CZ Open Heart Necklace

The second item was this Sterling Silver 2mm Stacking Twisted Rope Ring*. I am a huge huge huge ring addict. Seriously I wear at least 7 rings a day and I can't stop buying them. I went for a bigger size in this one so that I could wear it as a thumb ring and it looks awesome. My hands look so pretty right now. I am definitely going to be buying some smaller sizes in this ring so I can wear it on other fingers as well. They come it sizes I-U and I went for S because I have huge knuckles and sausage fingers.

So if you want to treat yourself or if you are stuck for gift ideas (they also do mens jewellery) I highly recommend them. They even offer free shipping on orders over £10 and postage is super quick.

Have you got anything from jewellerybox?
What are your favourite pieces?

Personalised Hoodies

13 July 2015

I've been meaning to get this post up for aaages. In April I think it was my family and I went to Devon. I did a couple of posts on one of our meals and horse riding but I never got around to the coolest part.  If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram you will have seen that I got a fabulous Pink hoodie.

Naww look at us. We look like abandoned old people.

Anyway back to the hoodies. When we were on holiday we went to Paignton. Stupidly we went Bank Holiday Monday and it was sooo busy but apart from that it was a lovely day out filled with sunshine and food.

My brother, a very keen shopper, noticed this shop was doing personalisations from £5. He has wanted one for ages so he dragged us in.

Choosing a colour was the start of many tough decisions. I am not  a very decisive person at the best of times and being put on the spot by my mum made it so much harder. I was tempted by a more neutral grey and pink one but the pink matched my hair so it was meant to be. I sized up but looking back I wish I hadn't as they are quite roomy.

They have loads of designs and pictures that you can pick from and when you choose what you want you can pick out of a huge amount of fonts and then you can pick your colour. See my issue? I was given way too much choice. I couldn't cope. My brother desperately wanted the wheelchair symbol and when we asked they said they could find one for us but the printing would take a bit longer. This was fine because it meant we got to go back the next day and have more ice cream.

They are such lovely people and so helpful. The hoodies and t-shirts go up to a 5XL and they have kids sizes so they cater for a wide range of sizes. You can get bags, hats, shorts, tops. So much choice. I could spend a fortune in there.

They do have a website but we were told that they don't have a secure payment page so if you phone up you can give your details over the phone and they will post it out to you.

I'm definitely going to be getting another hoodie. Thinking maybe having "Not A Morning Person" put on it so cheery people don't try and talk to me at stupid oclock.

What do you think?

Gemporia Madagascan Blue Apatite Ring

17 June 2015

I spend many an evening browsing the Gemporia site looking at all the gorgeous jewellery. I am obsessed with their rings but I have never taken the plunge and make an order. I'm quite picky when it comes to jewellery. Plus I have super chunky knuckles which makes ordering online difficult. So when they offered the chance to work with them I jumped at it.

I was given the chance to try this gorgeous 1.43ct Madagascan Blue Apatite Sterling Silver ring* and oh my it is love. I must have spent about 2 hours looking at all the different pretty things in all different colours. However I am a massive fan of blue and this is just stunning. Words cannot describe how much I love this ring.

This ring is such a beautiful shade of light blue which catchers the sun in such a gorgeous way. It looks great worn every day and complements other rings (Im a total ring whore, unfortunately I broke a few fingers which are now too fat for the rings I own so need to invest in some more). It also looks fabulous on its own as a statement accessory to go with a LBD on a night out. The choices are endless and its a gorgeous way to add some sparkle into your life. Side note - It also looks great paired with pyjamas and scraped back hair on sick days and makes you feel just a little bit more glamorous. Well as glam as you can feel stuck in bed with a hot water bottle.

At £36 I feel like this is such a bargain for such a stunning ring. They have items with such a range of prices ranging from cheap to slightly out of my budget. Expect a wishlist post soon as I have my eye on so many more items and may be making a purchase soon to reward myself for my degree result - 2:1 if you were wondering ;)

Another great feature of Gemporia is their ring size gauge. I ordered one ages ago but never got around to using it. You can order yours for free here. Its kind of like a cable tie that you can wrap around your finger until it feels like a comfortable size & then read off the letter. This way you can be confident that you are ordering the right size. Perfect for big knuckled babes such as myself.

Have you ever bought anything from Gemporia?

Prairie Pizzazz Subscription Box

8 June 2015

If you are on twitter you may have seen Prairie Charms. They are seriously the nicest, friendliest people on twitter. They specialise in accessories as well as cute things such as paper straws and washi tape. The list goes on. Just be assured that everything is super cute and there is also a lot of glitter involved.

You may remember that I posted about the Katsya glitter bow band a while ago and got very excited about my macro glitter shot much to my dads confusion. So when I was asked if I wanted to get in on the Pizzazz I got a lil bit excited.

Prairie Pizzazz

The Prairie Pizzazz is a subscription box with a different theme each time and it comes in a pizza box packed full with a variety of "toppings". This months theme was Festival and it was worth the excitement. There was a variety of hair accessories including bows & flowers, jewellery, straws, popcorn, nail stickers and even a cute foil print from Dotty Rocks which is going to look amazing in my newly decorated room. Weirdly I was most excited by the hair ties because I have been wanting to try some for ageeesss plus they are my favourite print ever. Galaxy and glitter (there was also a black one but that is currently in my hair).

Okay you ready for the pictures? Theres a few and I didn't even include everything.

Prairie Pizzazz

Prairie charms black bow

Prairie Pizzazz

Prairie Pizzazz

There were also extras like a list of all the pizzazz toppings, a list of blogs to check out, a loyalty card and a money off voucher (I am totally eyeing up one of their floral garlands).

Also because they are super lovely and it was my birthday the week they were sorting the boxes they made me a gorgeous birthday crown and they picked a colour that would look amazing with my hair. Personalisation at its best and they were so right. I feel fabulous and quite often rock it around the house in a fantabulous pyjama crown combo. I'll do another post on this because it deserves to be centre of attention

At £25 I'm not sure if this is something I will keep up every time just because I'm poor and I'm worried it might get a bit repetitive. There's only so many hair accessories a girl can have. Buuuutt I am excited to see what they do with the next box and that may convince me otherwise.

If you think this is something you want in on you can get a full size deluxe box like this one for £25 or you can get a slice box which is smaller but still awesome for £15.

All you have to do is tweet @Prairie_Charms with what you want and the hashtag #MERMAIDPIZZAZZ to get the offer.

Will you be getting one?

Prairie Charms Katsya Costume Hair Bow Band

20 May 2015

I discovered this brand on Twitter and you have to go and give them a follow because they are seriously the nicest people on Twitter. Also they do a lot of special deals and giveaways for their followers which is how I managed to snag this Katsya Costume Hair Bow Band for the bargain price of a fiver. That's right £5. What are you waiting for go follow them.

Prairie Charms specialises in glitter and bold colours. What more could you ask for from a brand plus look at the gorgeous envelop that your order arrives in *insert heart eyes emoji*

Prairie Charms

There was a choice of colours for the bow and for an indecisive person such as myself it was such a tough decision because they were all so gorgeous but I decided to go for the metallic Peacock Mix because I thought it would go well with my hair. Very important factor.

Its such a gorgeous accessory and so different from anything I've seen in the shops. You can't go wrong with glitter and I feel fabulous whilst wearing it. I may wear it around the house in my Pyjamas to add a bit of glam to slob days and my dad may laugh at me every time.

Also look at all the pretty colours. My dad did not get anywhere near as excited as I did over my macro glitter shots so I'm relying on you guys.

First Ever Outfit Post

15 April 2015

I've wanted to do some outfit posts for a while but am seriously lacking in the confidence department. I'm not 100% happy with my body. I am fat and I am learning to love myself. The other issue is, I don't actually wear real clothes that often. Nope I am not a nudist I just live in pyjamas and leggings and any other comfy item of clothing I can find because I spend a lot of time at home and in bed.

That being said we went out for a meal Easter Sunday (post to come) and I wore real people clothes and my brother took a picture of me on Dartmoor which I kinda liked so I thought I'd dip my toe into outfit posts and maybe do some more (with more than one picture next time).

So if we ignore my weird smile and slightly uncomfortable looking pose I quite like this picture.

Kimono - Primark
Vest top - New Look
Skirt - H&M
Tights - Matalan
Hi-tops - Matalan
Necklace - Charmed Ivy
Sunglasses - River Island
Hoop Earrings - Claires

When I started the outing I was wearing my wedge spiked ankle boots from New look but my ankles and standing on gravel in heels was not going to end well so I swapped to my trusty high-tops that I have lived in ever since I bought them. Seriously they are the only shoes I wear these days. They have a slight heel in them so I look taller (when I actually stand up) and weirdly they support my feet better plus they have sparkles on the toes. H&M bodycon skirts are a bargain at £4 and I have a whole rainbow of colours but this one is my favourite (shh don't tell the others) and they last surprisingly well . I can see me wearing this Kimono a lot this summer as it's such a gorgeous colour and light enough that my crappy body wont over heat.

So do you think I should do more outfit posts?

Shit I Probably Didn't Need

26 March 2015

I went to Chester with a friend a few weeks ago in an attempt to distract us from the massive amounts of work we have. Retail therapy always helps. Well that and cake which we also happened to partake in. As I don't have a Primark where I live and there isn't one where I'm at uni I only get to go about once a year. So we always make it worth it. 2 hours later we emerged slightly dehydrated & sweaty (Why are their shops always so warm?) weighed down by a few bags. So here's what I treated myself to.

Minion & Olaf Trackies - £10 Each

As I only have one lecture a week at the moment but tons of work to do I spend most of my life in comfy clothes in the flat so these cute additions were a must. However my brother stole the minion ones as soon as I got home and he saw them *cries*

Shorts - £3 each

Another must for the comfy attire. I am a very warm person, Im always too hot and tends to be super hot because someone likes to turn on all the heaters and then go out so shorts are always needed. These are so comfy and for £3 I wish I had picked up more. I have practically lived in them this week because our house is practically a sauna
 Black & Blue Kimono - £8

I am a huge fan of the Kimono trend which seems to still be going strong from last year. As soon as I saw this one I had to have it. I love the colours and I don't yet have one with tassels. Also I was too warm in the hoodie I had worn out so needed something lighter to change in to which made it a necessary purchase

Despicable me pyjamas - £7

Yet more comfy clothes. I would say 90% of the clothes I own are pyjamas. I have the pjs that are just minions but they are too big and fall down all the time so I had to have these plus Unicorns I love them.
Small Grey Bag - £6

This bag is so small so should be good for when I need a bag but only for essentials like phone money and lipstick (definitely vital). All my bags are too big. Plus I am obsessed with all things grey at the moment

Pastel Clutch - £6

I'm loving pastels at the moment. I don't know whats wrong with me. Im  normally not a fan. Managed to justify this to my dad so he didnt lecture me about buying more bags (I may have a problem). When Im using my wheelchair I have no where for my bags except on my lap which is a tad annoying but I thought with a clutch it will fit down the side of me. Plus its pretty. Another necessary purchase I believe

Cosmetics bag - £4

This purchase I cannot justify. I do not need another cosmetics bag but I couldnt put it down. It just fell into my basket. However it is the perfect size for my toiletries when going away so it has a purpose.

False Nails £1 each

I'm loving false nails at the moment and with these only being a pound I couldnt really say no

Sunglasses Back pairs £1 each, front pair £2

Okay I admit it I have a massive addiction to sunglasses. I just cant resist them. Its my weakness. I already own like a billion pairs. Buuut in my defense the pink ones match my hair so I had to buy them and the mint ones go really well with my hair so another must. I never normally buy brown lenses but I'm having an issue with my eyes & my optician suggested I tried them to see if they helped with pain from lights so they were a medical necessity. Drs orders and all that

Superdrug

Superdrug is a store I should never go in. Ever. I always spend too much. Their deals just suck me in. Barry M had a 2 for £6 and I am on a mission to own all the Gellys so I picked up Blueberry and I got sucked in by the glitter of Glitterati V.I.P. Bourjois also had a buy one get second half price offer so I picked up the new colourband shadow crayon in Beige minimal and the Rouge Obscur nail polish

MAC All Fired Up & Velvet Teddy

I only recently got my first MAC lipstick and I'm slowly building up my collection. I'm obsessed with nude lips at the moment which is weird because I'm normally a brighter the better kinda girl but I had to get the most talked about nude Velvet Teddy. I then fell in love with All fired up and once again it matched my hair so I had to have it.

What have you guys been buying recently?

Charmed Ivy Jewellery

22 August 2014

Sorry for the lack of posts. I haven't been feeling too great and I've been crazy busy. Anyway as you may know I love my jewellery and after spending many nights browsing Charmed Ivy and drooling over their really well priced items I finally made an order and I'm so glad I did. I'm really into necklaces with a longer chain and a bigger pendant at the moment so I picked these 3 and I am so in love with all of them.

Turquoise Small Horn Necklace - £3.50

I wanted the bigger version of this which can be found here but they didn't have a turquoise one so I went for this one instead but I think it may actually better because it's perfect for layering with others. The horn is such a gorgeous colour and I have worn this so much since buying it. The chain is 25" but you can customise the chain length on any necklace if you want to.

Catch Your Dreams Necklace - £5

I am obsessed with dream catchers. I went through a phase of my meds giving me the pleasant side effects of nightmares so my brother bought me a dream catcher and I have never been happier with a present from him. They're just so pretty and this necklace is no exception. It also has blue stones on it which could not be any more perfect as it is my favourite colour. This was the necklace that prompted me to make my order. As soon as I saw it I needed it in my life.

The Spear of Isis Necklace £5

This necklace is so gorgeous. As it's black it will go with everything and it goes perfectly with the earrings I got from Black Tied a few weeks ago. I can see this being worn all the time in winter. For a fiver this is such a bargain.

Charmed Ivy has so many gorgeous items for really good prices and even better postage is only a £1. What more could you ask for? There are so many more items I want like this headchain and these arrowhead earrings I know I'll end up making another order soon.

You can also follow them on twitter and instagram for even more temptation

What jewellery are you loving?
